A historical tale of the Chola empire's 1100-year reign lays the...foundation for one of the world's longest ruling dynasties. Chola King Parantaka successfully managed to capture the territories belonging to the Pandiya rebels and regions in Sri Lanka. Kandaraditha became king after his father. He was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and married Sembiyan Maadevi like her husband, who was known for her devotion to Lord Shiva. The two gave birth to a son who was named Madhurantakan. After Kandaraditha, his younger brother Arinjaya took over the vast empire, and a year later the king died unexpectedly and suddenly. Since Madhurantakan was a child, Arinjaya’s son, Sundara Chola, was crowned as the ruling king. King Sundar Chola had two sons named Aditha Karikalan, Arunmozhi Varman, and a daughter named Kundavai. Sundar Chola chose his elder son, Aditha Karikalan, as his successor. This decision gave rise to a wave of conspiracies and political turmoil because former King Kandaraditha’s son Madhurantakan was now capable of ascending the throne. Will Queen Nandini manage to create a rift between Aditha Karikalan and Arunmozhi Varman?
