Synopsis
Puthiya Vaarpugal follows Shanmugamani, a young schoolteacher who falls in love with Jothi, a village girl. Their relationship is torn apart by a corrupt and lustful village chief who falsely accuses Shanmugamani of murder and forces Jothi into an unwanted marriage. As the chief's crimes come to light, Jothi takes a bold stand, leading to a dramatic climax that allows the lovers to finally escape the village and begin a new life together.
