Our Hawaiian journey begins! 🌴
We start this adventure together — leaving from San Antonio, flying nearly 10 hours across the Pacific Ocean, chasing the sun toward one of the most remote island... chains on Earth — Hawai‘i.
From the moment we step off the plane, everything feels different — the warm island air, the scent of the ocean, and that golden Hawaiian light that instantly makes you smile.
Before diving into the lush green valleys of Kualoa Ranch — the world-famous Jurassic Valley — this episode takes us through the story of how Hawai‘i came to be: its people, its kings, its culture, and its timeless connection with nature.
As we soar over the islands, we learn that Hawai‘i is made up of 137 islands, with eight main ones, each holding its own unique soul:
🌴 O‘ahu – the Gathering Place, full of energy, beaches, and city life.
🌋 Hawai‘i Island (The Big Island) – home to active volcanoes and raw power of nature.
🏞️ Maui – the Valley Isle, with its winding roads and the sunrise at Haleakalā.
🌿 Kaua‘i – the Garden Isle, covered in cliffs, waterfalls, and untouched beauty.
🌾 Moloka‘i – where old Hawai‘i lives on through farming and tradition.
🍍 Lāna‘i – once a pineapple plantation, now a mix of luxury and wilderness.
🌺 Ni‘ihau – the Forbidden Isle, private and preserving the pure Hawaiian language.
🌊 Kaho‘olawe – the uninhabited isle, slowly healing back to life.
Through history, we see how King Kamehameha the Great united the islands into one kingdom — a proud chapter that still echoes through the Hawaiian spirit today.
From ancient Polynesian voyagers guided by the stars, to the modern islands we see now, Hawai‘i’s story is one of strength, culture, and aloha.
After landing, we settle into O‘ahu, rest for the night, and greet a new sunrise at Waikīkī Beach, where the ocean calls and the story truly begins.
A short drive later, we hit the open coastal highway — palm trees waving, ocean on one side, green mountains on the other — with a stop for fresh sugarcane juice at a roadside stall. 🍹
Finally, we arrive at Kualoa Ranch, standing before the mighty Jurassic Valley.
But we’re not going in just yet… that’s where Episode 2 begins. 🎬
